The Glidewell^™ Respirator is authorized by the FDA under an emergency use authorization to help prevent the spread of infection or illness in health care settings. Glidewell has leveraged injection-molding and 3D-printing technologies to fabricate the respirator, reducing the time- and tooling-associated costs of each unit. Having undergone extensive ergonomic testing for comfort and seal, Glidewell respirators are available in two sizes — small and medium/large — to ensure the appropriate tight fit. Individual respirators can be cleaned with common disinfecting solutions such as isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide in order to promote extended usage. Respirators should be cleaned or safely discarded after each use. Glidewell recommends the use of replaceable PFE 95%-compliant filter media to ensure CDC-recommended personal protection standards. The respirator does not include a filter; filters are sold separately.
